If You Really Want to Know…

I want a home that is relaxing and welcoming. This site is all about that. My purpose is to share some ideas (my own and others’) and to try some new projects that might increase the cozy factor here. Maybe you will find something to try too!
I am not a trained decorator, and I don’t claim to be one. I have made more than my share of mistakes–some more expensive than others. I will share those with you (if you enjoy that sort of thing), and I will also share some of the things I have tried that I actually liked! There is nothing new under the sun, and I think that is particularly so in decorating. That said, I will give credit for ideas and projects when I can.
My advice about home decorating? Just try something! If you can read and follow directions, you can do just about anything. The key is to get started and don’t take it all too seriously. Stop over-thinking. Make a plan, but be flexible. Read and observe. Keep a file of things you like. Finish projects. Know when to stop.
Now, find a project and cozy your home–one step at a time!
